據日本《共同社》報道,日本電信運營商KDDI周一宣布,將推出一款由實體人工智能技術控制的人形機器人(a humanoid robot controlled by physical artificial intelligence technology),在零售店等場所為顧客提供服務。
KDDI將在周一于西班牙巴塞羅那開幕的全球最大且最具影響力的通信行業展會之一——世界移動通信大會上展示相關展品(KDDI will showcase related exhibitions at the Mobile World Congress, one of the world's largest and most influential connectivity trade fairs, opening Monday in Barcelona, Spain)。

KDDI與以開發虛擬形象及生成式AI服務著稱的日本初創企業Avita Inc.合作,計劃最早于今年秋季試投入客服機器人,以推廣可在現實世界運行并交互的下一代人工智能系統(operate in and interact with the physical world by implementing customer-service robots on a trial basis as early as this fall)。
該人形機器人有望通過與顧客互動,學習并掌握更自然的對話能力(These humanoids are expected to learn and acquire more natural conversational ability through interaction with customers)。

KDDI將提供通信技術,連接云端數據處理基礎設施與機器人,并計劃在au手機門店、醫療福利機構、美術館及娛樂場所等地投入使用人形機器人(with humanoids planned to be operated at "au" mobile phone shops, medical and welfare facilities, art museums and recreational facilities, among others)。
由大阪大學智能機器人實驗室石黑浩教授創辦的Avita公司與KDDI已推出遠程客服系統,消費者可在AI虛擬形象引導下使用通信、金融、醫療、居家支援等各類基礎服務(such as telecommunications, finance, health care, and home support -- guided by an AI avatar)。
