4月1日，在昨天因為爭議言論被公牛裁掉的杰登-艾維接受了采訪，他表示，身邊的人包括家人都不理解自己，但他只是說了事實。
艾維說：“那些在我身邊的人們，還有我的家人，因為我的一些言論而反對我，他們認為我已經失去了理智，說我已經瘋了，但是我只是說出了我認為的事實。”
