第98屆奧斯卡頒獎典禮上，Netflix成為大贏家。《弗蘭肯斯坦》斬獲最佳藝術指導、最佳服裝設計、最佳化妝與發型三項大獎，《KPop Demon Hunters》拿下最佳動畫長片和最佳原創歌曲。
Guillermo del Toro執導的《弗蘭肯斯坦》共獲9項提名，包括最佳影片和最佳男配角。Netflix史上觀看量最高的電影《KPop Demon Hunters》證明了流媒體原創內容的質量。
近年來，流媒體電影在奧斯卡穩步崛起，《羅馬》《犬之力》《西線無戰事》都曾斬獲重要獎項。但最佳影片仍是Netflix的痛點——蘋果的《CODA》仍是唯一獲此殊榮的流媒體電影。
主持人Conan O'Brien甚至調侃Netflix聯席CEO Ted Sarandos："令人興奮，這是他第一次來電影院！"最終最佳影片由《One Battle After Another》獲得。
