4月2日上午，一則關于合肥市廬陽區一小區發生電梯事故的警示提醒在當地多個微信群傳播，警示寫道，2日上午10時18分許，廬陽區某小區電梯轎廂墜落，2名檢修工人死亡。3日上午，合肥市應急管理局工作人員告訴記者，此事故確有發生，將成立調查組進行調查。
