當(dāng)世界陷入混沌，藝術(shù)便成為一種棲身之道——不為重建秩序，而是在紊亂中學(xué)會(huì)呼吸。正如其名所寓的艾草，野艾實(shí)驗(yàn)室希望在不確定的裂縫中扎根，將藝術(shù)實(shí)踐化為靜默的韌性：在這個(gè)不再給予明確答案的時(shí)代，保持專注的姿態(tài)。如同荒野中倔強(qiáng)生長的艾草，我們從貧瘠處汲取養(yǎng)分，試圖在游移中維系清醒、敏銳與開放。我們在不確定的土壤上扎營，在波動(dòng)中守護(hù)藝術(shù)的創(chuàng)作可能。

野艾實(shí)驗(yàn)室源于紀(jì)錄公社過去四年的探索，我們在紀(jì)實(shí)的土壤中，一邊探尋，一邊重新定義著自己的位置。懷著社會(huì)服務(wù)的初心，而非娛樂至上的態(tài)度，我們見證了許多真誠的對(duì)話、銳利的評(píng)論，以及閃爍著靈感的工作坊和實(shí)踐.....我們搭建橋梁，分享觀點(diǎn)，在創(chuàng)造與合作中找到共鳴。

由此，紀(jì)錄公社推出「野艾實(shí)驗(yàn)室」，通過“資金支持” 、“培訓(xùn)工坊” 和“導(dǎo)師計(jì)劃” 守護(hù)每一份探索的勇氣和孤獨(dú)的堅(jiān)持。

Not to restore order, but to learn how to breathe within disarray.Artemisia takes root in the cracks of uncertainty, treating artistic practice as a form of quiet resilience—a gesture of attention in a world that no longer promises clarity. Like the plant it’s named after, this project draws strength from harsh terrain, asking how we might stay present, perceptive, and porous when the ground beneath us shifts. We pitch our tent in the unpredictable and help create artworks in the midst of turbulence.

Artemisia Fellowship grows out of our four-year venture navigating and inventing our role in the landscape of reality. In the spirit of social service rather than show business, Jilu Commune has hosted dozens of high-quality conversations and critical reviews, and has produced luminous masterclasses and hands-on events—all evolving from the documentary art form. We build bridges to share perspectives, to listen to one another, and to relish the process of creativity and collaboration.

In order to get a closer listen to beautiful minds, authentic stories, and advancing materials, yet, more importantly, to grow together, in our own circumstances, alongside a raising cohort of noble talents. Combining grants, training, and mentorship, Jilu Commune launches Artemisia Fellowship to better serve its custodianship of curiosity and solidarity.

The Open Call for the Artemisia Fellowship is now open and will close on October 17, 2025. The Fellowship is dedicated to nonfiction creators and offers three project support tracks—Research & Development, Production, and Post-Production—as well as a training track of Open Studio, which welcomes creators and cross-disciplinary practitioners interested in nonfiction creation and eager to explore its possibilities.

TRACKS EXPLAINED

提供什么支持？

1. 資金支持

通過「開發(fā)支持」、「制作支持」、「后期制作支持」三個(gè)類別，為處于不同創(chuàng)作階段不同類型的項(xiàng)目或作品提供創(chuàng)作資金。

2. 培訓(xùn)工坊

「開發(fā)支持」、「制作支持」、「后期制作支持」三個(gè)類別的獲選項(xiàng)目將參加為期兩天的培訓(xùn)工坊「開放工坊」激發(fā)靈感、拓展視野。同時(shí)「開放工坊」也歡迎尚未有具體項(xiàng)目的個(gè)人創(chuàng)作者申請。

3. 一對(duì)一導(dǎo)師指導(dǎo)

「開發(fā)支持」、「制作支持」、「后期制作支持」入選后均將獲得根據(jù)項(xiàng)目定制化的導(dǎo)師一對(duì)一指導(dǎo)機(jī)會(huì)。

The first three tracks of Research & Development, Production and Post-Production support projects at different stages of development with grants and services

2. Training

Selected projects in the Research & Development, Production, and Post-Production tracks will be invited to participate in the Open Studio, a two-day online workshop designed to spark inspiration and expand perspectives. The Open Studio track is also open to nonfiction practitioners and creators without a project proposal.

3. Mentorship

Selected projects in the Research & Development, Production, and Post-Production tracks will receive customized one-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals.

答： 沒有。我們歡迎不同年齡段、不同創(chuàng)作經(jīng)驗(yàn)的創(chuàng)作者申請。但學(xué)生作品不符合申請資格。申請人需要提交過往作品，以證明具備完成項(xiàng)目的能力。

問：這個(gè)項(xiàng)目我已經(jīng)拿過其他基金支持，還能申請嗎？

答：可以，但不能是機(jī)構(gòu)委制或簽約的作品（如受雇于制作公司、電視臺(tái)、媒體、基金或者其他機(jī)構(gòu)），否則將被取消資格。

問：可否同時(shí)申請幾個(gè)類別？

答：同一個(gè)項(xiàng)目只能選擇申請「開發(fā)支持」、「制作支持」或「后期制作支持」中的一個(gè)類別。入選的項(xiàng)目會(huì)自動(dòng)獲得參加「開放工坊」的資格。申請項(xiàng)目支持類別時(shí)，可以勾選是否愿意在未獲該類別資助時(shí)，單獨(dú)申請參與「開放工坊」，無需提供額外的申請資料。

問：“非虛構(gòu)”具體指什么？作品呈現(xiàn)形式必須是紀(jì)錄片嗎？

答：非虛構(gòu)指作品以真實(shí)事件或事實(shí)為基礎(chǔ)，呈現(xiàn)形式不局限于傳統(tǒng)紀(jì)錄片形式。項(xiàng)目可以采用多種媒介和藝術(shù)形式，包括聲音作品、裝置、表演等，我們鼓勵(lì)創(chuàng)新和跨媒介嘗試。

問：我是否擁有項(xiàng)目的著作權(quán)？

答：項(xiàng)目著作歸屬創(chuàng)作者所有，具體條款將在與獲選創(chuàng)作者簽署的正式協(xié)議中予以明確。

問：制作支持和后期制作支持對(duì)項(xiàng)目的時(shí)長和類型有限制嗎？

答：影片要求為60分鐘以上的長片，或總時(shí)長為60分鐘以上的劇集。影片類型要求有紀(jì)實(shí)元素，并鼓勵(lì)在此基礎(chǔ)上探索和融合不同類型的影像創(chuàng)作，例如實(shí)驗(yàn)影像和動(dòng)畫等。

問：「開放工坊」的授課/討論語言是什么？需要英文能力嗎？

答：授課與討論語言以英語為主，提供實(shí)時(shí)的中文字幕?？梢栽谏暾垥r(shí)注明是否能用英語參與小組討論。

問：我沒有具體項(xiàng)目，可以申請「開放工坊」嗎？

可以，「開放工坊」申請不要求提交項(xiàng)目。在申請中最好充分說明（為何對(duì)非虛構(gòu)/混合實(shí)踐感興趣、目前的研究或?qū)嶒?yàn)方向、希望從工坊獲得什么），這樣能綜合判斷參與匹配度。

Q: Are there any restrictions on the applicant’s age or creative experience?

A: No. We welcome creators of all age groups and with varying levels of creative experience. However, student works are not eligible. Applicants must submit previous works to demonstrate their ability to successfully complete the project.

Q: My project has already received fund from another institution. Can I still apply?

A: You can apply as long as it's not commisioned works (e.g., production companies, TV stations, media organizations).

Q: Can I apply for multiple tracks?

A: Each project may apply for only one of the following tracks: Research & Development, Production, or Post-Production. Projects selected in any of these three project support tracks will automatically qualify for participation in the Open Studio. When applying, you may also indicate whether you would like to be considered for the Open Studio if your project is not selected, without needing to submit additional materials.

Q: How do you define "nonfiction elements"? Must the project be a documentary?

A: Nonfiction elements refers to content grounded in real events, people or facts. While projects should incorporate these elements, they do not have to take the form of a traditional documentary. We welcome a wide range of media and artistic approaches—Projects may include various media and artistic forms, for example such as sound works, installations, performances, and more—and encourage innovative, cross-disciplinary, and experimental interpretations.

Q: Do I retain copyright of the project?

A: Copyright remains with the creator. The terms will be further defined in a formal agreement signed between Jilu Commune and selected projects.

Q：Are there restrictions on the length and genre of projects applying for the Production and Post-Production support?

A：Eligible projects must be either a feature-length film of at least 60 minutes, or serial/episodic work with a total runtime of over 60 minutes. All projects should incorporate nonfiction elements, while we encourage creative approaches that blend these with other forms of filmmaking—for instance, experimental works and animations are welcome as long as they engage with nonfiction.

Q: What is the language used in the workshop? Is English proficiency required?

A: The primary language is English, with real-time Chinese subtitles. Applicants may indicate if they can participate in discussions in English.

Q: Can I apply the "Open Studio" without a project?

A: Yes, project is not required for application of the "Open Studio", but you should clearly elaborate your interest in nonfiction or mixed practices, your current research or experiments, and your expectations for the workshop.
