3月30日剛被多倫多猛龍掃地出門的總經(jīng)理Brad Treliving，4月13日就接到了Hockey Canada的電話。不是安慰，是offer——直接進國家隊管理層，和Jason Spezza共同掌舵2026年世錦賽。
這速度比NHL自由球員簽約還快。Treliving在猛龍干了不到三個賽季，常規(guī)賽還能看，2025-26賽季末段崩盤成了最后一根稻草。結(jié)果失業(yè)三周，國際舞臺給他遞了把椅子。
更微妙的是Kyle Dubas的位置。這位Treliving的前任——2023年從猛龍?zhí)廴テテ澅て簌Z的GM——被安排"support"這個角色。翻譯一下：Treliving坐主桌，Dubas在旁邊端盤子，同時還得兼顧企鵝的本職工作。
Hockey Canada高級副總裁Scott Salmond的原話很體面：「Brad brings invaluable experience from previous international events and the NHL…Kyle's experience from the previous two world championships, 4 Nations Face-Off, and Olympics will provide consistency to our program.」
但明眼人都看得出結(jié)構(gòu)——Treliving是新鮮血液，Dubas是 continuity 工具人。一個剛被俱樂部開除的人，和一個連續(xù)三屆國際大賽都在場的人，誰更需要這份履歷鍍金？
世錦賽5月15日在瑞士開打，加拿大首戰(zhàn)瑞典。Treliving的賽前熱身賽在法蘭西和瑞士，對手是 roster 和 strategy——以及證明自己不是被高估了。
