德國主帥納格爾斯曼在對陣加納的賽前新聞發布會表示，費利克斯-恩梅加可能因傷無法參加本屆世界杯。
納格爾斯曼表示：“這個傷情比想象中更復雜。毫無疑問，他確實存在無緣世界杯的風險。如果恩梅加踢不了世界杯，那對我們會是非常大的損失。”
據此前多特官方消息，費利克斯-恩梅加在德甲聯賽多特蒙德3-2戰勝漢堡的比賽中膝蓋外側副韌帶受傷，將傷缺數周。
