當地時間3月29日，巴基斯坦、土耳其、埃及和沙特阿拉伯四國外長會議在巴基斯坦首都伊斯蘭堡舉行。會議期間，四國外長就不斷加劇的地區局勢進行評估，討論緩和局勢和促進地區穩定的途徑。
巴基斯坦方面表示，美國與伊朗均表達對巴方促成談判的信心。
